The winner of the prize

I’d like to be the lucky one
The one who gets the prize
To spend all day beside you
And sit down by you side
To learn the things together
With wonder and surprise.
What I’d give to be the lucky one

When they see you, I wonder will,
They see what I see now
A special child with loving eyes
I sometimes wonder how
That we were blessed with such a gift
Its blue you make our skies

Remember now to sit up straight
Take note of all the rules
And Listen to your teachers words
As she welcomes you to school
Make friends and play with everyone
Sing the songs out loud
Remember love we love you so
Go on and make us proud


The time has gone so fast it seems
It’s hard to let her go
We hope she’s ready for the world
It’s tough out there you know
Remember this one thing my child
Being always by your side
Is the greatest thing a dad can do
