I heard on the radio they were turning on the lights early this year as they want to encourage people to stay in Dublin and shop and not head to the States!! (has not worked for me:D)

I am not too sure if the Brothers will care though, they will be sending the wimmins out to do the shopping :D

Bit of a serious thread for BGRH. Unless of course you mean the build up to the Christmas food and drink extravaganza, in which case you're a bit late. Every well prepared Brother will have started his build up in April.

Technically that starts as soon as the turkey is hatched....

I think this year everyone in Retail is ****ting it because of the recession that they're pulling out all the stops in an effort to get yer money. It will certainly be a modest Christmas in our house - "ohhhh! another pair of socks! sound out!"

Meh, I love Christmas so its not too early for me, although like Lucy it's not stopping going up North. The difference in prices is nuts.

Oooh, and I heard that Arnotts are doing a half-price sale on Elizabeth Arden until December 1st.

*claps hands vigorously while jumping up and down with glee*
