    yoyo,

does anyone think since dragons den is such a whopper show that dit should try encourage innovation and entrepeneurship and set up a DIT scheme where it helps you find out more information and get advice, help etc in getting your business idea off the ground/ throwing it in the bin?

I know hothouse do interviews and talks with successful irish businessmen, maybe it could be a goer!

They also have the bolton trust which is a competition for a business plan and my course are making us enter the Enterprise Ireland awards and I know some others are too so as far as all of this is concerned I feel it deals with it well enough.

The bolton trus tis open to all registered students in DIT and cross faculty teams are encouraged, there is also a small prize for the best cross faculty team.

The prize fund is 13,000 euro and it would be good to get on your CV, it will also mean you end up with a business plan which you could if you so wish bring onto the Dragons Den or other such competitions as you will have your 5 year projections and all accounts aswell as branding and marketing proposals.
