id go for the Sony, not because a PS3 is sony aswell but because the dynamic contrast is far better on it than the samsung!!!

    Sony's way cooler anyway:D

both TV's seem to have the exact same spec.

    Both 720p however the Sony has video signals - 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i, 720p - whatever that means

    Both resolution 1366 x 768

Both have same connections 3 HDMI 2 SCART

    Its hard to seperate them

I'd say there is very little difference. Sonys and Samsungs are all manufactured at the same plant as far as I recall.

Out of those two you picked I'd go for the Sony as it has a better response time which is good for gaming and the Sony also has a better contrast ratio than that Samsung.

The Samsung is last year model, whilst good is no match for this year Sony model.

The Samsung equivalent in '08 models would be the 32A451 (HD Ready), 32LA552 (FullHD)

The sony is by far the better tv of those two. Go for that

Ongarite, i think the 32A436 that the link the OP made brings you to, is basically a renamed R87. Samsung probably had a load of them but couldnt sell them as last years models so renamed them and fooled people into thinking its a new model

The sony 32V4000 is still better than the A451/456/457 anyway.

For the ps3 you could go 1080p for an extra €150.

No idea what that tv is like, but 1080p is great for BluRay.

WOW, I'm getting a weird feeling of deja vu.

The sony seems better, better contrast/response time got 24fps. Although id agree with the spend the extra 150 and get a full HD. Or just save money after xmas buy a great TV in the sales!

No you don't have to but to use it to its full potential a HDTV is required. Same for 360 IMO.
