Hi everyone, Im new to this website and just planning my wedding at the moment. We've already met with the wedding co ordinator in the newgrange and like what they were offering us.

Im just wondering has anyone ever been at a wedding there and what did you think of the food / service etc.

    Any advice much appreciated,
    Shinney;)

My brother got married there a few years ago. It was lovely, no complaints. We had a great time, decent residents bar too;) Just a pity about lack of gardens. They had their pics taken at gardens nearby.

Thanks a million for that, the lack of gardens was the one thing that was putting me off but there is a nice castle nearby that you can get the key of and we'll make do with that.

Good to hear everything else was ok.

    Thanks again :)

They used the gardens across from the Texaco garage. I can't remember the name of them but you prob know, on the dub - Navan road.

Yeah actually forgot about those, theres a lovely grounds of a priests home about 2 miles out the dublin road as well with lovely buildings and the old castle ruins also in the town so i'll be okay that way. To be honest Id be happy to go somewhere, get the photos done, and then get to a glass of champagne. :o:o:o

I find it is easier sometimes to have pictures a little away from the guests. When it is right outside the hotel door the guests tend to gather and distract from the photos, if you have a hotel with vasdt grounds they are more unlikely to follow or if you are stopping off on the way you only have the bridal party. The time spent together with the photos is more intimate then. I got married last December and it was pretty much the only time we had tgether for the day apart from the meal.
