    Hi guys,

My dad is in his first year of being coeliac and struggling really! Christmas is coming so i'm gonna buy him a bread maker as he cooks his own bread using some mix that he buys in a packet.

Its horrible stuff to be honest. I searched amazon and there are loads of coeliac recipe books. Can anybody recommend a book that they know from experience has real recipes that work everyday and has a decent baking section?

Thanks for your replies in advance!

The best gluten-free recipe books I've found so far are by Bette Hagman, the gluten-free gourmet, you'll find them on Amazon. Darina Allen and Rosemary Kearney also have a gluten-free cook book worth a look "Healthy Glutenfree Cooking".

Have to agree with Nellie, the website is great, Davyboy is a great contributor!!!

For stuffing I use the gluten free bread from Dunnes called Genius, its quite nice!! Clonakilty are great gluten free sausages if you eat sausage stuffing!!

Gravy wise Jamie Oliver makes his own with wheat flour and just sub with rice / potato flour - the recipe is Consisently Good Gravy!

Apple crumble is a great dish that is easy to convert from normal flour - I just use doves farm blend gluten free flour and its gorgeous :)

    Best of luck!
