Canon 100-400 f4-5.6 L IS

    Hi
    Anyone use this lens ? (100-400 f4-5.6 IS L )


    As I am going FF soon and will lose some length .. I was thinking of getting this .. the other cheaper option is to get a 2x extender and use this with
    my 70-200 f2.8 L IS ... this will give me 400mm at f5.6 aswell .. but I have heard bad things about the 2x extender ?


    The lens 100-400 looks like a good buy, about the same size and weight as the 70-200 2.8 IS ..


    note 300mm 400mm etc .. primes are out of the question for me as they are way too restricted and expensive...
