    Hi,

Just want to bring your attention to some big things happening every Tuesday in the Poker Room.

    1. We are running a €65 + €5 Texas Holdem freezeout, 8k starting stack and 20 minute blinds. We guarantee for the winner a New branded 50" H.D Ready Plasma T.V and cash prizes for other places. This is a super prize and just in time for xmas as a gift for you or someone else, there is a cash alternative available if you don't want the awesome telly. We also add 10% to the pot, if it covers the cost of the T.V

" So get in to win the big plasma."

    2. There is also a very tasty Cash Omaha game in the club around 11p.m. Last week there was over 14K on the table and a pot in excess of 4k. Its a 1/1/3 with an optional live 6 straddle. ( Chris after his success at Bruce Poker will hopefully give me a chance to get some money back :) Also there is a good 1/2 live 5 No limit Holdem game as well.

    3. Double cash hours, 26 days to go until the cash league final for a 12k free-roll and give away, so great value.

Football on T.V, burgers, sausages and toaties on the grill and cold beer in the fridge what a way to spend a Tuesday night.

Is the TV an addition to the prize pool or is it the only thing 1st will get?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

    Hi,

The winner will get the T.V and there will be cash prizes for other places.

The T.V is part of the prize pool not an added addition to the prize pool.

    Thanks Ross

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

There is an example of the T.V in the club but the winner will get a new one delivered to their home (not if you live in Spain, Dublin area)

    50" plasma tomorrow night, guaranteed.

If I didnt live as far away from Tallaght as I do, I would be a regular at your tournaments cos they seem to be excellent value.. If you ever wanna look into opening a 2nd place, please look into opening one in Ashbourne!!! :)

Austrailia is too far away, ;)

North side then dublin as expansion plans go.

Lots of interest in the 50" plasma t.v €70 freezeout and the big Omaha game. Should be a busy night with lots of drama, I am guessing 16 players for the T.V so good odds and 9 players for the Big Omaha.

There will also be at least one probably two No Limit Holdem games.

1k early bird bonus for the Plasma tourny, reg 7.30 starts at 8p.m

Hope to see you there, more details and directions of the web-site. http://www.thepokerroomtallaght.com

    Thanks Ross.

Great game tonight, 21 runners and some great play.

The game ended being chopped for cash 3 ways, i was one of the three, so next week we will gaurentee a 50" Plasma for first and a 42" Plasma for second.

    Great Value for just €70

Also the Omaha game was good and building nicely a good well stacked Omaha game every night in the club now, We had 3 cash table total all night 2 No limit holdem and a 1/1/3 PLO game. Some wild action but lots of great play.

€27 euro game tonight 30+ runners.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

Just a reminder that we are putting even more value into this very popular tournament. Its only a €70 freezeout.

    Guaranteed this Tuesday :

    1st Place: 50" H.D Ready LG Plasma T.V (its a cracker)

2nd Place 42" H.D Ready LG Plasma T.V (also nice.)

We pay out 110% or the guarantee which ever is greater so super value.

We will also have the football on The Plasma.

(The T.V's are in the club so come in and check them out. )

There is an 80% cash equivalence if you don't want the T.V.

Watch out for our great Harley Davidson competition coming soon, to win a new roadster.

The best value Poker venue in Ireland. (allegedly)

    Hi Just a reminder,

That we are holding a €65 = €5 freezeout tomorrow night at 8p.m.

We are guarenteeing a New 50" H.D ready Plasma T.V for first place and a 42" T.V for 2nd. (42" this week only)

It was a great tourney last week, 8k starting stack and 20 minute blinds with 3 added blind levels so lots of value for your money with a great prize pool.

1 K early bird chip if you pay prior to 8p.m. Late entry until 9.30p.m allowed.

Also as always, Football on the telly and a cold beer in the fridge.

    Hope to see you tomorrow,

    just a quick question -

is the 42inch addd or guarenteed? - i'm guessing that if u dont make up the cash for both telly's they're the only prizes? (ie no cash prizes)

thinking i might head out for this as it will make a nice xmas pressie :D

presume there's grand parking and all there?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

Hi The 42" is not added but it is gaurenteed so the total prize pool is €1700 we always add 10% so depending how much is collected will depend if there is cash prizes but we are guarenteeing the two T.V's no matter how many shop up. The prize pool will be transparent and the 10% added will be obvious.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Ross.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

    Hi,

Yes there is oodles of free, safe parking at the venue, you can just park close to the cinema enterance and use the front door. Had no problems in almost a year with cars parked there, or if you wish you can park on the barrier controlled roof just park as before come up to the room and we will give you directions on how to get to the private parking.

Game starts at 8p.m, 1k early bird if you pay prior to 8p.m

    Thanks Ross

Great game tonight 33 runners, and a total prize pool of €2350 after we added 10%.

There was a 3 way chop, with Paul murphy winning the 42" Plasma (Paul as requested we will deliver a 37" Full H.D on Monday.

And two other players Bob Cruikshand and another player (sorry I didnt get your name taking €575 each. i think there was money taken off the top to pay 4th and 5th a bit more.

As this game is popular we will guarentee 2 50" Plasma T.V's next week just in time for Christmas.

    Thanks Ross.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭The Poker Room

We had 33 players last week battleing it out for the 50" plasma first prize and 42" plasma for second.

Paul received his plasma this week and by all accounts was very happy with it.(free delivery included in prize)

We are running the same great game this Tuesday with two improvements. We are increasing the starting chips to 10k for even better value and we are guaranteeing 2 50" plasma T.V's for first and 2nd. (cash prizes depending on the total prize pool after we add 10%. )
last week this was a very good game with some great play and high drama. All for just €70. So if you would like a nice new huge t.v for Xmas or you looking for a a great gift this is the tourney for you. We will also offer an 80% cash alternative if you dont want the telly.

Also Omaha, it is turning into a very big cash night at the club with two very good Holdem tables and a deepstacked Omaha table.

We always have the football on T.V and cold beers in the fridge.

Tom, you cant claim to be running bad if your winning things.

But if you set low expectations you can only over achieve.

Good luck, tomorrow I would love to deliver that big 50" T.V to you this week.

Played this tonight and it was a decent game. Fair play to Ross and Dennis for dragging in a decent crowd in. 36 runners i think.

When we got 4 handed we discussed a cash deal. originally there was 2 plasmas, 300 for 3rd and 180 for 4th. Blinds were 4k/8k and the stacks ranged from 85k-115k

We decided to take 500 each and play on for an extra 300 for 1st and 130 for 2nd (Fergus beat me headsup)

Wasnt too pushed about the TV as i already have a 42" in my house and another 42" in Gill's so was hoping to scoop the €800 instead.

Got in just after 4 and there was still 2 cash games in full flow when i was leaving...and er plenty of value! I'd recommend it to people!

Very good game tonight, thanks to every one who turned up.

33 entrys, We added €220 to the prize pool, so total prize pool of 2 X 50" Plasmas, €300 for third and €150 for 4th. Or €2430 in cash.

4 tables, some very good play, 4 way chop at €500 each. And they played for the €430.

Congrats to Fergus Atkinson for being the winner. €800
Fergus also had a bet on him self at 5/1, so double winner.
I am really glad Keith Maguire, didn't win (no offence keith) but it would have cost me a fortune, as he was the punters favorite bet, Keith did get the 4 way chop though.

Also shout out to Norman Bates, young player from the club who is getting a name for himself after going deep for the 4th tourny in a row, just needs to steal and defend blinds better and he will be a real force.

Same tourny next week we will guarentee, With a twist, first palce will get a genuine tag huer watch and a pre-paid 8 giG I phone with 2nd place getting the 50" Plasma, cash alternatives always available.

Putting the value back in to Poker.

Pleasure to play with you for the first time Tony. Your a class player.

Enjoyed this game greatly until I got runner runner dogged badly in an 80k+ pot early at the final table. Would have left me with almost 1/3 chips in play. Young Norman called off his stack badly & got v lucky :D

Good game though; maybe next time....

    Cheers for the compliment Tom.

I was saying to Fergus at the break that you're a danger because you're quite aggresive and you dont give many tells away. You were the only person to 3bet me all night and i'd have preferred you sitting somehwere else than 2 to my left!

The only had we could have clashed with on the FT was when i led out with 67h on a Qh3h2x board and you raised it up. Dont think i had any fold equity to push and i was right.

The AQ v AJ hand was pretty sick because you would have been a big favourite if that hand holds up. Good game though and i enjoyed it.

Yeah, don't make as strong a play there against, probably, anybody else at that FT but I read him for Ax and I just felt he would call off his stack if I pushed. I win that one & you have to prise away the chips from my dead body... LOL... :D

See you again sometime soon Tony.

    Hey Norman,

Welcome to Boards. That was me you dogged with the AJ :D I was gutted cause that would have left me with a lock on a prize but don't sweat it; you get plenty of bad luck in this game so when you get some good be glad.

Did you get a share of the chop in the end?

Yep I won Martins Christmas pressie the Gents Gucci Watch.

It was our fist time at the poker room. Have to say that Ross and the staff are certainly trying hard to get a regular stream of players to the club, and fair play to them. The room itself is well laid out, clean, nice tables and a good standard of dealers.

The Atari Expo, well its bad, but lets not dwell on the negative. There was complimentary beer, soft drinks, pizza laid on for the break and all this for €5 reg fee.

    1st prize was choice of
€1200 gucci gents watch (beautiful) or a
    €1200 tag Heuer watch, + 8gig pre pay I-phone €498 or 80% cash equivalant.

2nd place is guaranteed a 50" H.D Ready L.G T.v, super T.v with free view and high gloss black case stunning t.V

When we got to the final table I had 36,500 in chips (blinds are 800 1500) so I wasn't in dire trouble. Chip leader was a bit mental (sparky was his nickname) he would regularly go all in blind and had about 78K, Ross (Mr. Poker Room) had 65K. Other player at the table I knew was Hyzepher from boards.

They opened a betting book for the final table and I was 4 to 1 (wtf), lol

1st hand of the table, Mr. Sparky went all in and showed KJ suited (mmm).
2nd Hand I get 2 red Aces utg, limp into pot.

Hyzepher goes all in for 25K followed by player beside him for 20K approx, unfortunately Sparky folded, I instacalled and was up against AJ and pocket 4's

My hand holds up, next hand I get AhKh and knock out another player and Im on over 90k and cruising.... A few interested spectators are happy as a pig in sh*t because they have money on me at 4:1 lol.

We get down to 3 handed fairly quickly when Ross takes out Sparky with A9 V A4, Sparky went all in on the button and Ross called him in the SB.

    I had 80K
guy to my left has 65k
    Ross has 120K +

The guy on my left is itching for a deal, and im after the watch. so we agreed on the following

I get Gucci Watch picture below mmmmmm
Guy to my left gets €600
    Ross gets the balance....

    155482_I1630_8163_360_360img04-1.jpg

Would definitely recommend a trip out the the Poker room.. Once again thanks to Ross and the staff (I have almost stopped smiling)
