Parents

Hello,

I am just writing this to know if there is anyone else out there who has the same worry. I am very close to my parents and worry about the day that they are not around any more, it really is getting to me, I shouldnt be thinking of that, but I have had a very difficult time during my life and they were always there I have three brothers also who are very good to me, but no one worries about you in the same way as your parents.......

.....Except maybe the family you rear yourself.

I think about this too.
I do my best to appreciate my parents and see that they are happy in life while they are around.
Knowing that I'm making the most of the time we have now makes me feel better.

I dont know what age you are but you sound very young. When you leave home etc you will learn to depend on yourself. You shouldn't be relying on your parents all the time anyway, so it would be good for you as a person.

Really though, why are you even thinking about this? You could be 60 before either of them die.

This is quite normal, as long as its not your every waking thought!

I worried more about this when i was a kid in fact it even interfered with my sleep.

I think you just have to live in the now and not worry about the future too much jsut yet. you are doing the worrying and greiving now and they aint gone yet!!

Its something each and every one of us has to face and its just something that you deal with at the time and dont let it ruin things for you now.

Just enjoy them and appreciate them while you have them.

When you decide (if you decide) to have children you will find you thoughts replaced by what if something happens to me no one will love them like i do but hopefully by the time that happens you and your children will be old enough to take care of themselves and find a loving partner to share their lives with and they will look after each other.

DOnt let worrying about the future ruin your life now.

You will get through it like we all will. Its the circle of life and very hard to accept but there is nothing we can do about it unfortunately just enjoy it best we can day to day.
