Hey i don't know if any of you guys out there have heard of third watch, its a show about the NYPD and FDNY, it does be on FX and other stations now and again. Series one is only available on DVD but im wondering is there anyone out there who has it downloaded and maybe willing to burn it onto DVD's? Or if anyone can lead me in a direction to buy or download season 1-6.

    Thanks for your time!!!! :D

It never got released past series 1, I believe it's to do with Music rights.... It's an amazing series - I have it downloade , not willing to burn it though as that's pretty illegal. Channel 4 used to show it during the day - then it went to night time. Amazing series I wish they sorted it all out and let me buy it. I got series 1 from the hut for £7.73 - Bargin!

Isn't a spin off to ER?

I think it is, actually. Well I know there were some episodes of both series that crossed over i.e. E.R people in Third Watch, Third Watch in E.R.

Quite possibly is, but geographical restrictions might apply. E.R. was set in Chicago and Third Watch in New York, so I'd wonder how the crossover worked.

It is a really good series though. I didn't know about the release restrictions on DVD though. Always wondered why I couldn't buy it...

E.R. and Third Watch share a producer, John Wells, and the crossover was the episode Brothers And Sisters from E.R.'s 8th season, when the Dr Lewis character heads from Chicago to NY to search for a missing family member.

It's a pity about the music rights being so prohibitively expensive. That's the same factor that's keeping the release of "Cold Case" held up for so long.

OMG Third Watch is my fav tv show EVER!!! :P I managed to get my hands on series 1, but like you would love the rest.
    I don't have FX!!
I didnt know the problem was because of the music, but that makes sense. It's nice to see some of the old cast often turn up on show associated with Edward Allen Bernero.
Just in relation to that I found this on IMDB:
LAPD - apparently in production for 2009, directed by Christopher Chulack (also producer ER and Third Watch) and John Wells. A replacement for ER I guess... They should just bring back third watch!:D

the crossover happened as Sherry Stringfields characters sister (the junkie) went to NY with her kid and came back from NY/died and the kid was still in NY, SS then went to NY to look for it and basicall Yokas and Bosco took her around.

Yeah another one of those shows RTE used to show late at night. They did start showing it in Prime time at one stage. I think it was always a late night one for C4

Aye, one of the more sympathetic U.S. cop/hospital shows where characters were somewhat relatable and it avoided being overtly generic as most shows of that ilk inevitably are.

Shown on RTE and Chennel 4. More 4 were showing it during the day not so long ago (I was out sick at the time...)

You don't mean Gray's Anotomy and Private Practice by any chance.

Yep just picked it up there today. What a bargain. They also had the complete west wing series (1-7) for €90. Not too shabby either.
