got a cartell report on the car im going to buy and its a bit flakey it says there is a mileage discrepancy just like in this sample : http://www.cartell.ie/pdf/CartellCarHistoryCheckUKMileageDiscrepancy.pdf

but both mileage entered and total mileage are the same, how do i find out what mileage is on the uk database ?

its a 04 with 68500 miles on it,

also it flagged 3 owners in red, is that bad for a 04

Mileage is not in any way reliable on Cartell. They even say it is an estimate based on age.

See if you can get the UK reg and chassis number of the car, then get a UK HPI check done on it.

3 owners on a 4 year old car is not a big concern but worth looking into, check how long the previous owners kept the car. For instance the car could have originally been a demo meaning the garage owned it for a couple of months and then sold it on.

At the end of the day if in any doubt then walk away.

the dealer owned it in the beginning and they own it again, it turns out its only actually had 1 non-dealer owner who kept it for 3 years,

the aa is doing a mechanical check on it tomorrow anyway, finding out if theres anything wrong with it, if that comes back clean i dont care how many owners it had
