I've a fair amount on interest in rendition from a legal perspective, especially relating to the Shannon airport.

Would anyone here be able to reccomend me some books to go into more detail?

How about that treaty(?) we signed with the Americans last week making a part of Shannon Airport "little America".

Here's a very good read in respect of extraordinary rendition. It provides documented evidence in respect of the rendition flights and none the usual anti American rhetoric that you tend to hear. Get's the thumbs up from me!

For common (or garden) rendition, have a look at Michael Forde's Extradition Law, in particular the area of the European Arrest Warrant. The EAW is a kinda mix of extradition and good old no nonsense rendition. Which is why they call it surrender I guess.
