    Hi,

Sorry I've no photo, but I'm planning on wearing a very dark green satin cocktail dress which is very fitted and knee length to a christmas party in a couple of weeks.

I have shoes and a bag in the same colour, but I'm thinking of differently coloured accessories to brighten the dress up, in colour it's similiar to bottle green or British Racing Green.

    Any suggestions welcome thanks!!

A chunky necklace in mother of pearl maybe? Can you have pearl white satin gloves? :D

I just looked at British raching green on google images and I think gold would be lovely.

    lolz :D

I'd been thinking gold, silver, or mother of pearl/offwhite.

I kinda think the gold would really dress up the outfit?

    Gold shoes and bag?

The first thing that came to mind was gold. It's sort of hard to tell without actually seeing the dress, but yeah, gold should be safe enough! :D

Yep gold or pueter would work. Top shop often have a good selection.

I'd say it depends on your colouring. If you look good in warm colours (your complexion is ivory/olive/tan) go for gold, if your colour scheme is colder (pale/rosy) choose silver or pearl as gold can make you look sickly if you wear it close to your face!

What you could do instead of buying new shoes and bag is customize them. Much easier then one would think. Can buy crosages (thats not how you spell it) or motifs in habbydash stores hickeys wollen mills and the like. Or really make them your own by making fabric flowers and or pinning beads on to both shoes and bag.

    Thanks everyone!

Found a pair of gold platforms today in Dune that will go well, if I decide not to wear the green shoes!
