    Hi folks,
figured you guys might have the best opinions on this one:
I keep getting a dream that my teeth are loose in my head, and are falling out.
I need to contact a dentist but can't get a number or whatever.

    Any ideas?
Mods, if there's a more suitable forum, please pass me along. Thanks

There's a sleeping and dreaming forum just 3 down from this one if you look under the rec drop down menu above.

The teeth falling out dream is generally considered a classic anxiety dream. Is there something worrying you over which you feel you have no control..you know, like work or the economy or something :p

I think I saw something in Sleeping/Dreaming forum about that it mean you are afraid to lose your looks. Teeth represent fair looks or sumsuch.

Damn it, I missed that! Apologies.
    The economy. Interesting.

Nah it's not that. If I got any worse, I'd start to look better. :pac:

Thanks, Yea I read that one earlier today, and another website that basically said it was a really really shit omen.

I dunno, maybe I was just looking to see if anyone else had these dreams and related them to something
I'm a sceptic optimist, so I'm resisting that it's a bad omen. Worrying over something I've no control over though...

I don't believe that the specific symbols in dream have the same meaning for everyone. It is the subjective feeling that is important so therefore while the teeth dream might be indicative of anxiety around failing looks to one person, to another it could be something completely different. In both cases however it might indicate an anxiety around something over which the person feels that have no control crumbling in front of them and going down the pan (thus my economy comment). I'd say there a fair few people having similar dreams just now!
I don't think dreams like this are premonitive as such but maybe warrant the dreamer taking a look at what is causing the anxiety and seeing if he can attain come control of the situation if appropriate.

    Hey Zulu,
I have that dream before too and my mum was saying that it's to do with financial concerns ?
In fact I'm surprised I don't have it all the time :D

Ive never had that dream but I do remember when I was a kid everytime one of my teeth fell out I would have the scariest nightmare.

It probably wont seem that scary but it was.Anyway it started out with me looking sfor someone when my boss approaches me(weird that I dreamed I had a boss when I was a kid) anyway we start talking and then he asks me who I am looking for I tell him and then he screams out the name and starts cackling.Thats when I would wake scared sh1tless!

Have no idea what it means even today!

I've had this ream. one month ago. I never had bad dreams before. This happened me one's and was really real. freaked me out altogether. It was like my gums kept splitting apart slowly and everytime I tried to touch them or fix them, they would break off even more. Gums, teeth, jaw... was horrible. I have been told this is a sign of someone being vain. but that don't make sense to me because why havn't I had it before? It's definetly something to do with anxiety. the fear of something that is going to fall apart and there is nothing u can do about it.
    I'm thinkin, feckin women...:)

...Another interpretation from my dreams encyclopedia days:

" One dreaming of losing their teeth commonly associates with monetary stresses, loss of money or the inability to pay bills."

    Hey...we're in recession! :)
