Sony 40W3000 - No audio when linked to Inspiron using HDMI

    Hi,

I bought a Sony 40W3000 last year and only this week tried the HDMI link to my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. However while I had vision I had no sound. I tried all 3 of the HDMI ports on the TV and also looked at the settings on the laptop but couldnt figure it out. I have another Philips 32 LCD tv and its just plug and play, the audio works fine without any fiddling. Does anyone have any ideas of where I might be going wrong (the sound on both the TV and laptop werent muted by the way). I looked at the manual and tried to change some settings but still no joy (but I would have thought it should pick up the audio without any necessity to change anything. I dont have any other devices (DVD players etc) that have HDMI connections to double check. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Jack
