i've seen an ad about a Wii game. it's like a comic. you apparently can put different things into a (2D) landscape and then release something like an earthquake and the whole stuff is collapsing.

i think it's available for Wii and DS.

    any ideas?

I remember reading a review of a similiar game a while back, but do you think I can remember the name?? :(

I had a quick look through the game listings and given the "build your own and destroy" these two have those elements. I don't think they are the ones you are looking for though.

    Boom Blox

    Blastworks: Build, Trade & Destroy.

I will probably wake up at 4 in the morning remembering the name :p

googled the 2 you mentioned. it's not them. thanks anyway! :)

i think the name is something with WORLD. had a look on nintendo's game pages but couldn't find it there either.

You're not thinking of Little Big Planet are you? That ones a PS3 game but I can see how people might think it's for a wii.

Sounds like Little big planet to me.

I specifically remember reading a review and the aim of the game was to destroy the level (?) by any means possible, rain, storms and earthquake was mentioned also - pretty much anything you could dream up, do it!

I have checked through the release dates and nothing rings any bells. I know I saw it though and I know its def a wii game, which Little Big Planet is not.

Usually games are only advertised in the run up to and for a few weeks after release so it must be on the way or just out. Unless its an American channel the OP was watching, then the ad is no clue :(

Disaster Day of Crisis is the only wii game I can think of that even remotely fits the bill. I'm sure there is some confusion here unless someone can shead some light on the subject.

First I thought it's Little Big Planet. But then checked the trailers and unfortunately it's not. It's not Wii-esqu enough. The ad i've seen (and for the sake of my life I don't remember where I've seen it!) had bright, screaming colours, things were rather simple drawn, 2D and not 3D. one could organize little things like flowers, mushrooms (the likes of super mario), alarm clocks etc on hills and then the whole thing was shaking and collapsing.

it definately wasn't an american channel either irish/uk or or german.

Just saw an ad on ign while looking at the dsi review.

Wouldn't be "world of goo" by chance? Seems like the game you're talking about.

no, it's not Goo. i've been on nintendo's homepage and clicked through almost all available games for Wii and DS and have seen almost all trailers and screenshotes. I couldn't find it...

i start to believe that i was deaming... :p
