ASP.net Sitemap question

I have a Sitemap defining the navigation layout in my website.

I have just added an external link to the sitemap and when it is clicked, the user is brought to http://www.google.com?pid=E16870 instead of the http://www.google.com specified as the URL.

This concatenation of the sitemap key is problematic for me and I need to remove it. Anyone know how to turn this off for certain links? I can't just remove anything after the ? as this would destroy any links added with legitimate querystrings in them.

    Thanks in advance,
    John
