Exhaust centres - help

I'm going to need to bring my car to an exhaust centre.

I've searched the golden pages and found two of them - one in ballybrit, and one out on the tuam road. If anybody knows of any more would you please let me know.

What exhaust centre is the easiest to get to. I'm a learner driver and I'm absolutely useless at town driving and there isn't a hope in hell I'll get a fully qualified driver to sit with me.

Or better still if anyone knows if an exhaust centre would do a pick up service would you please let me know. Thanks

The one in Ballybrit is in Odenway Business Pk next to Windsor Motors(Nissan). I have heard good reports on him. Go up there in te middle of the day and there will be no traffic. I think the Driving Test Route passes it so it would be practice for you. Good Luck

The Ballybrit place is reliable - got stuck for a puncture before and only got charged 10euro (theyre a tyre place too) despite the sign on the wall stating something like 13 euro - Will go back there if i'm stuck

As with anything Irish, if you're buying a part (ie. backbox etc.) expect to pay more than prices you'll see online

    thanks, ballybrit it is so.

I've googled it, and found a map on findonmap.ie. I freak out on the larger roundabouts out beside ballybrit. Wish me luck.

Won't be doing it until the weekend (maybe). My car is at the mechanics right now and it depends on what he says.

I've got a leak, and I'm guessing its from the exhaust because its been rattlling for weeks, and the exhuast fumes are coming out at the side instead of at the back.

I hope to god its not an oil leak. Say a few prayers for me. I've had nothing but problems since I started learning how to drive.

This thread confuses me: if you cannot get a qualified driver to accompany you, then why do you need to take your car to an exhaust centre? It's not like you can legally use the car for anything.

I found this website Galway Garages during the week as had to replace the backbox of the exhaust in my car. There is a section on Exhausts

I went with Kwik Fit anyhow as twas the first I called and got a good report from a mate who had his exhaust fixed.
Address : Adley Bus Park, Liosban Industrial Estate, Tuam Road
    Telephone :091-771485

They put it on the jack and showed me the exact problem. Had it fixed in 20 minutes. Cost was 95 euro. Guaranteed for 2 years.

They are easy to get too if you're concerned about driving. Out bohermore, through first roundabout onto tuam road. Then left at the lights into liosban estate. They are the first left in there on top of a little hill

Best of luck with it anyhow

This might be too late now, but I was looking for ages to try find somewhere that could make an exhaust for my imported car and everywhere I went said that they couldn't do it

Then I found a garage on the web in Co. Meath where they have some type of machine where they can actually make any exhaust for any car
They made my one while I was waiting. I couldn't believe it !

The guy working there showed me how they make them, its cool ! So now I have a brand new replacement exhaust fully guaranteed ! and it was cheap too.

    Hope that Helps

You are about as helpful as a hedgehog in a condom factory. I'd doubt you even read the thread where last November the OP said she couldn't navigate Galway and you are suggesting she goes to TRIM? Be off with you viral marketer...
