Getting a new tv remote??

Dont know if this is the right place but heres my problem. we have an old telly (mitsubishi) and our only working remote for it just died so now we cant change any of the channels (as the buttons on the tv are broke) so that means we cant hook up the xbox for av or anything.

Were not sure how old the tv is but were guessing its a good 15 years anyways. Because of this does this mean that we wont be able to find a remote that will work it? The sky remote doesnt work on it (only changes to the sky channels but wont move the volume etc....) are we stuck with a dud tv now? (were students renting for the year)

If you have the make and model you can check if one of the Universal Remotes will work.

is it a remote for one single unit or do you want an universal remote for a number of units? the EURO shops sell some of them and €2 is not a big loss if that one doesn't work with your telly.

i'm using this at home and it virtually supports everything as it gets it's codes from an internet database. you setup the remote with a software via USB cable and hence the software will look via internet for the codes you need to be online...
