Hi there, just wondering could someone lend some advice!

We have Sky and Sky+ and an aerial on the house. We have 5 tv’s and would like to access each of the above from any of the TV’s.

At present we have the sky and sky +box in the living room with a coax going back into the attic (Im guessing this would be from RF2) and I have the coax from the other TV’s coming into the attic also.

I was thinking of putting the Sky into the Sky+ box (coax or scart?) and sending the signal back to the attic and then putting an amp in the attic to put it around the house ?

Would this be the best solution ?

    And if so :

1.If I attached the Sky+ box by scart to the main living room TV, can I then see the normal SKY box and Sky+ on this TV ? the boxes are next to the TV and I guess the signal would be better from scart than coax ?

2.How do I access the SKY and SKY+ box on the TV’s ? – do they tune in to a particular channel? is this set in the services menu?

3.Can I also put the aerial into the AMP ?

4.Is the SKY TV Link the best for remotely controlling the sky and sky+

    5. And finally! – screw in or put in connectors ?

Many thanks in advance for your help! apologies about the lenght!

    Just to clarify:

You want to be able to set up the other 4 TVs so that they can tune in six analogue channels, the four Irish from the Ariel then one from the Sky+ box and one from the Sky box.

    Is that right?

Are your two Boxes on on a Multiroom subscription, or do you have an Irish Subscription on the Sky+ box and use the Sky box with a UK EPG for easy access to ITV2, Channel Five etc.

    Are all your TVs widescreen?

How many people live in your house? if you have five people you'll need a way to police channel changes!

The ideal solution for you would be to feed the RTE aerial into one of the two sky boxes, and then feed both outputs from RF2 back to a general location. Such as your attic.

You can then use a device called a Sky+ Global combiner and a digital amplifier to send the RTE, Sky, and Sky plus to all the additional rooms, and can control either box via a magic eye...
