Hi my p45 was scanned and sent to public shared folder, and sat there for about 20 mins before I was told. If someone copied that, could they use the information in it for anything. #is there anything I can do to protect myself.

Well, they could use your details (in particular your PPS number) to avail of a free trip to the dentist, but sure they could probably ring the revenue office, say their name is Ms. JJJJNR and probably get your PPS number over the phone!

Everything else on your P45 is "non-secret", such as your name and address.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. :)

A PPS number can be a handy thing to have. I recently renewed my driving license and they asked for the PPS number. So yes, I would be a little concerned about it.
