Well i went out yesterday morning because i got a message form a land owner that has newly planted hardwood trees and the deer are coming in and eating them to the core.
so anyway got up early, about 5.30ish and was out the door for 6.
Went i got to the area i was going to hunt, i was only just after going over the bridge that enters the land and there in front of me about 60yrds inside the fence was a lone hind sniffing her way through the leafs. So i just leaf the jeep roll back down the hill just out of sight from the animal and got the rifle out of the slip and loaded it i walked back up the hill and rested the rifle on a fence post and put the crosshair onto its neck....
BANG...... deer down. Anyway walked back to the jeep, cleared the rifle and parked up.
Well this is where the $%*! hit the fan.......
I was after locking my rifle and bino's in the jeep along with my fecking keys.........
Well i had to wait 2 hours for my brother to drop me down the spare key
but at least i had plenty of time to do a very clean job on the hind while using my belt to hang it off a tree

At least the phone wasn't in the car so. You might have had to eat the deer as well before the brother showed up :D

It's happened to the best of us, believe me. I only had one key for my former car and lost it one day out shooting. I was the luckiest eejit around when I found it hanging of a hawthorn where I crossed the first ditch about 20 yards away from where I parked.

The killer there would have been another ten deer ambling along chomping away the rest of the trees sticking their hooves up to you & laughing.... :D

Thankfully has not happened to me (yet).
