Cooker

:) Hi, I have a very silly question.

My cooker hood and oven are not working, both broke at different times, about a week apart, so it's not at all connected. Two different manufacturers, and would cost us a bit to have two different people call out. Is there anything like a "cooker fixer" (god I sound so stupid!) we can call, someone who specialises in fixing cookers, hoods etc?

It's amazing how you don't appreciate what your mam and dad do, if I was living at home I'd just have to tell dad and a day later it'd be sorted :D

    Thanks.

It's not a silly question at all, there's usually a 'washing machine man' in every area. You'll find him by word of mouth or in the local press/trade directory etc.
Maybe you should post this in the forum for your region.

If the hood and cooker were on the same circuit the problem with the hood may eventually have tripped the circuit resulting in your cooker not working. You might check your fuse box to see before you call someone out.

Good reply. and try taking cooker appart. get your multimeter and start testing the circuit. It could be your termoswitch that's gone(common) and has killed the whole circuit, maybe.
