Cheers thanks for that. I suppose I'm just referring to the banning of Siamdragon for apparently promoting his show (which a lot of people have done without ANY problem). Now I did keep it private at first but neither of the mods answered ANYTHING I asked in PM's.

However, in all fairness I do agree with Máirt,
I say well done to Dragan for the breath of fresh air he's brought to both forums now.

No worries dude. Sorry if i never got back to your PM mate, i normally try and respond to everything that comes my way but with a lot of Forums it can get a bit hectic at times.

I can't really remember the Siamdragon thing but the truth of it is that here on SDMA we get away with murder with regard to advertising. We have people advertising clubs, sales of equipment, seminars etc etc and the simple fact is this shouldn't really be done. The uneasy truce is that the regulars, the guys who are active and support the forum etc can do so, basically because they have proven they are not fair weather users who will only show up when they have something to shout about and earn a bit of scratch from.

Generally speaking i'll just look at each one case by case and decide if i will leave it up or not.

I know it shouldn't have to be the case but if you send me a PM and dont hear anything back within about a day the best thing to do is just PM me again. As i said, it's not really something i should ask but the simple fact is i am more than happy to answer any question asked of my Moderation i often just read things and then something kicks off in work or at home and i forget to respond, so apologies for that mate.

Thats something I was going to come to D's defence for.

Although I've had numberous PM's ignored before D's appointment as Mod, he has never ignored a single one.

Now at the risk of looking like I'm licking Dragans arse, I'll say this. I was very dubious about him Moderating her at first, although I didn't call his judgement as a Moderator into question I questioned his M.A. training experience and thought that this would reflect badly on his abilities here, I'm glad I was proved wrong.

D, I hope you know me well enough not to take offence at that.

    Weldone again..

Not to worry mate. The first person to question my MA experience has always been myself, as it has always been more fan/amateur/stop-start than anything else. :)

The simple fact is though, you don't need experience in the relevant subject to Mod, you just need to be open and honest about why your doing what your doing and hope at the end of the day it improves the board.
