I have an AOC 19" LCD monitor and i was working away on the PC and it just went blank, when the pc comes on it stays on for 2 seconds then turns off the screen, the green power light stays on so its not going to standby, i tried the screen on another pc and its still happening so its the monitor, anyone know anywhere in Dublin that repairs LCDs?

Hate to say it, but I doubt you'll have any luck with this. Even if such a service exists (unlikely imho), it would be likely to cost as much as a new 19".

Sounds like the backlight is knackered.

look at the screen at an angle / shine a light on it to see if there is an image or not

try other imputs if it has them - does the onscreen display / buttons work ?
