Yeah there was a tournament that was on there on Sunday in the White House pub on the North Road

Plenty of irish names showed up, Garret Gray, Shane O'Connor, Anto McCracken, Mick Barry, Jack McKenna

entered myself, got a bye in the first round of my board, beat my opponent in the first match 4-2 and then lost 4-1 to a county player, will have to double check the name but think it was Damien O'Connor or O'Connell

Good match, couldnt get near him though.

Shane O'Connor was on the other side of my boards draw and if i had won that match i would have been facing him in the final of the board. He was in great form though.

McCracken beat Gray early, Mick Barry went out in the Semi Final of his board against a fairly good opponent, being only new to this i dont know too many names but it was a good match which mick has 10 left and threw for 2 double 4 but hit 15 instead of 2, costing him the match.

Youngster McArdle won the Youths tournament against Dillo Rutledge and Keith Rooney won the mens event

I only heard about it through my dad who is on the colmchilles darts team in the rushtown darts league

i missed a similar one that was on 2 weeks ago in Kettles on the rolestown road, just didnt hear about it.

There's a big one coming up November 22nd in Laois or Louth, where-ever it is (i'll find out) its an hours drive from swords, its 30 euro in, but you need to send the money off to some guy in charge of the irish darts rankings.

apparently this tournament is worth irish ranking points etc.

True that was very badly advertised, the INDO is not really doing much to advertise their tournments, the Donegal Open is on this Sunday and only for the fact I picked up a poster at our Doubles Competition a few weeks ago no one in our league would have heard about it.

Oh and it's good to hear Keith Rooney won hopfuly he will get back into playing again as he was a good up and comming player a few years back.
