Police are warning people to be on the lookout for Muslim suicide bombers over christmas, who are set to launch a wave of terror with a new 'Alphabet Bomb'.

If one of them feckers goes off, it could spell disaster.

Read the charter if you don't like it??

Even if this is the worst joke you've ever heard, please don't make a post saying "That's crap!" or whatever. Instead, please use the rating system build into the boards software (you'll see it at the top of a thread - choose from 1 to 5 stars of a rating). The only exception to this is you may slag off Hagar's so called jokes without fear of retribution.

Seeing as I've already been infracted, I might as well point out why.

This joke is Islamophobic and paints Muslims in a bad light. This thread started off negative, I just pointed it out.

And I didn't see Homer's note about being infracted for "back-seat" modding.

Right I'm going to humour you once.

OK Folks - there's been confusion as to what's allowed on this board and what's not.
I really hope this is the last time I have to edit this thing

The following are considered "no go" areas for your postings here to the Humour Board...
    • Pornography
    • Dead Baby Jokes
    • Racist Jokes
    • Links to Mature Content or Rotten websites
    • Jokes making fun of issues regarding Paedophiles, Child abuse (suspected or proven)
    • Jokes about other users of this site (I don't care if they posted something so stupid it's funny...there are other forums for that type of thing)
    • etc...
Think of it this way folks, boards.ie is supposed to be viewable by anyone at any time - this includes children, people in offices and so on.

You'll notice that you can't actually post images into a message - this is intentional as the feature was being abused by a few muppets who have since left our fair site. Instead, your images will appear as links. You can also attach images as you can anywhere else. Don't abuse this.

Also folks - I do not want to see abuse because you didn't like their joke or it's been posted before.

Remember, YOU are responsible for your account. A couple of people have had people take their accounts and post something quite out of order and they have been banned. I don't care who does what to your account - it's up to you to keep it safe. This is the Admins stance on this topic too, so don't go crying to them.

Posting something that breaks these rules will result in a 1 week ban and you'll go on my list...
If someone from my list does a bad thing for the second time, it's a 1 month ban.
Third time - you strike out and you won't ever be able to post here again.

    So enjoy and post funnies!

PS: This Charter can and will change - so be warned! smile.gif
You are specifically directed to use the thread rating system. Believe it or not negative comments has a severe impact on posters. Some have stopped posting as a result of past incidents. That is why it's in the Charter. It's not there to encourage people to post bad jokes, it's there to encourage people to post full stop.

Ktric, the penalty for your negative comment per the charter is a 1 week ban. I just infracted you. Hardly unreasonable.
I am more concerned with the post you made here, there is a difference between pointing out a charter infringement and demanding that something be done about one.

Back seat modding is not specifically mentioned in the charter, maybe it should be. TBH I'd rather not include it, it rarely crops up as a problem. Most people are here just for a bit of light-hearted amusement not to play internet lawyer.

As far as Im concerned this has been debated in public enough. Anyone wants to continue this via PM please feel free to do so.

Sidenote: The charter will be be changed to remove the reference to images not being allowed.

In the words of the Sex Pistols:
    (look it up)

Anyway that joke was a real blast, it ignited what has been a crap morning so thanks Homer. BTW if he ignored the charter he probably missed this thread:

KTRIC, if we censored everything, then we'd have nothing left.
The joke isn't over the line. It pokes fun a group. No worse than pikey or northsider joke.

Offence is in the eye of the beholder. Lift your eye patch and open your eyes. The world might be in dark place at times, but there is light humour every where.

There is a place where certain jokes go. I'd prob kick this back if it was posted across the hedge.

Thread is fine. If you don't agree with Hagar's actions (he has my support) it can be discussed in Feedback or Help Desk.

Joke is fine. Stays where it is.
