Slates I am just back from Puerto Rico; there was a hotel there’ that was just coming to the end’ of installing 180 flat plate panels’ I was there a week; and looking at the boys work’ they were not exactly killing themselves’ so I would think they were at least a month, if not more, set up’ without any cover on them or water in the system

    Hi

I had my panels installed and they were weeks before anything was doen .Because they were integrated they were installed early on in the build. The plumbing ofthem did not happen until utility was tiled. Maybe 4-5 months?

It depends on the panel and the best person to tell you is the supplier

Some recommend you cover the panels in black polythene if they are going to be left unconnected for a prolonged period of time.

It is very important that the panels are cool when the glycol is about to be filled but thats a separate issue.
