A friend of mine has a nice bit of forest at the back of his garden and he's sick of seeing grey squirrels interfering with his chickens/feed and as I hate the damned things, I thought, why not try trapping and killing some. Neither of us have a gun license, but we're a dab hand with bopping things in the head and cooking them up. :D Is it legal to catch and kill them on my friend's property? Are there any types of traps/bait we're not allowed use? Sorry for the silly questions, both of us are new to this. :o

Also, I have to admit I'd love a fur lined hat out of the catches, do ye sew your own pelts or is there a shop in the South that can help me with that?

Watch this link its from River Cottage Autumn on Channel 4 ( Thurs 30th epsoide) show trapping, skinning and eating of grey squirrels.

I have trapped them using a mink live cage traps also, pretty easy this time of year with food starting to get scarce..
