Help needed!!!

Hi all,

I've been mulling over upgrade options from my 400d/lens kit, grip and the sigma70-300mm APO zoom.

Which would be a better option 50d and 18-200mm IS or 40d and a Canon 70-200mm F/2.8L. Granted Ill be down a wide zoom for awhile but L glass would be nice.......What you guy think?

Would you go for the 50D and 50mm along with the zoom?

Personally, unless you were very fed up with the 400, I'd hold on for the moment, and get a 17-55 2.8 IS, 50mm and the 70-200 2.8, there'll be a 60D announced at some stage next year anyways

I have a 50mm 1.8 already and any upgrade was depended on selling what I have, plus a xmas bonus which may not materialize anyway.

Just driving myself mad looking at all this gear.. which probably would'nt improve my photography

Ah, well if it's that dependant, I'd defo hold off for the moment - it's too easy buy gear though, I know!

If you get the christmas bonus, get yourself a present thought
