Satellite dish connected to wrong room - how to move ??

Just realising this weekend when we went to install dist. box in the attic to distribute the sat signal to the rest of the tv points in the house (new house), that we stupidly asked the sky man to install the sky+ box in the wrong room, we asked him to install it in the sunroom 'cos that's the main room we were using at the time, when we should have asked him to install it in the living room because that's the room that had the 4 co-axial connections to facilitate the signal going up to the attic and out to the rest of the house. (Prob. sky man being wiser than us should have copped this and pointed out to us, but nevertheless he did do what we asked, it was our mistake I think)

Anyhoo, am wondering now how we can fix this, should we remove the existing cable connection from the wrong room to the sky dish and try to connect instead the cables from the living room, or, would it be possible (and would it make it easier) just to replace the twin LNB (is that the term?) on the dish to a quad LNB and add in cables from the living room ?

We went with Sky direct on the install, I'm wishing now we had hired local installer as he would probably would have copped all this for us, but don't feel I can call him now to come and clear up someone else's mess and don't really feel like getting sky back, so would be grateful for all advice to see how best we could fix it ourselves,

You can do one of two things.

    1. Run a cable from where the sky box is now to the amp or

    2. Run two cables from the dish and move the sky box to the living room .

Thanks Tony, will try the second option using the quad on the dish,

Happy to help. You couls also add a freesat box to the sun room if you wished.

    Sky don't supply a twin-output LNB. It will be a quad-output. :)
