We were at a wedding in Cabra Castle this summer and it really is a lovely venue. The food was good and the place is beautiful. We didn't stay there but saw some of the rooms, which were really nice and seemed reasonable.

I had my wedding there little over a month ago. I really cant fault Cabra Castle at all. I have nothing but praise for them. The reception hall looked stunning. The food was fantastic, all our guests were raving about it, and the portions are enormous. The staff are really, really helpful. Their new bridal suite(the one out in the courtyard) is unbelievable. Has a huge bathroom, bar, sitting room with 42 inch tv, jacuzzi, and bed with a 32 inch tv the rises from the bottom. They have fantastic places for photos between the lawns, the garden in the courtyard and the Gold Room in the castle itself. They really know how to look after weddings at Cabra Castle and we were so glad we picked this venue. Everybody who attended it and stayed over had nothing but compliments about their rooms aswell. If I was you I would be straight onto them to book because they are so popular you might not even get May 09.

Hope this is of use to you. Congrats btw!

I have been to about 6 weddings at Cabra Castle and i have to say that the place is lovely. Great for photos (esp with the big dog), food is fantastic and the portions are good sized. The staff are excellent and the rooms are grand at €145 a night.

    Hey,
We had our reception there in Aug 06. We chose it because my wife's brother got married there a few years before.
Beautiful place, if it rains there are still lots of places for pictures in some of the castles rooms.
Food is excellent, service was brilliant. Many people who attended have said its the best wedding they have ever been too. Some who came over from England now want to get married in castles in England as they loved the venue and scenery.

The girl who looked after us on the day (Laura i think her name was..) was brilliant and couldn't do enough for us.

Any other questions let me know...

    Cheers
