For a treat:vodka sauce!

    Taken from "The student pasta cookbook" by Hamlyn. I wouldn't eat it meself becaused of the cream and cheese but it sounds interesting
    ingredients

    50g butter
    6 tbspns tomato purée
    450mls cream
    9tablespoons vodka
    6 tablespoons cheese*
    Salt, pepper, basil to taste

    Instructions

    1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat and stir in the tomato purée and cream.
    2. Take the pan off the heat and add the vodka, salt, and pepper.
    Garnish with basil and serve with cheese. (on pasta obviously)

    *the recipe calls for parmesan and says the reason theres so much is to "bind" the sauce. I'd imagine a veggie cheese would do the job just as well though.
