Pretty great news. Good way of using up that extra 17th episode.

Update: 24:00 I can also confirm that Lost's regular timeslot will be 9:00pm on Wednesdays.

There were a number of rumours going around about the Season 5 Premiere being a 2 hour event. I've just got confirmation from ABC that this is infact true.

20:00 - 1 Hr Recap Show
21:00 - Episode 5.01
22:00 - Episode 5.02

Well it seems that our contact yesterday was out by 1 week ABC have confirmed that the start date of Season 5 to be 21st January, 8/7 central via their Twitter account.

This will be the 2nd last season. In total there are 34 hours of the show left. The writers have said they intend to answer everything. i.e., they aren't going to pull a Sopranos.

I heard a rumour that

the frozen donkey wheel spin sent the island and its occupants back to the 1970's and the start of Dharma. Not sure what this will mean for all the cast on the island because as they age to the point where Locke and co meet them in our time, they will be 30 years older, unless they get access to Richard Alpert's anti-ageing cream. Weird.

If that happened the island wouldn't have just disappeared from the sea though, it would presumably still be there 30 years later . . .

It's back on Sky on Sunday January 25th at 9. All two hours! I don't know about RTE but probably the following day, Monday, like last season.

It's on a day earlier this season, though, so they could easily show it on Thursday if they wanted.

I can't wait for it to return. I read via Wikipedia that

Jin is reportedly alive

which I figured would be the case and which I hope to be true.

Really looking forward to this!

Hopefully a few questions will be answered.

More likely though about a million more will be raised.

Bring on the answer to the four toed statue!!!
