    Hi guys,

Planning refused due to percolation values been to high.m P value over 90 so it pretty bad. Am goin to dig a couple of holes over the weekend to try to find somewhere a bit better but don't want to waste a load of money getting an engineer etc out.

My main question is after diggin the 3ft hole and then digging the foot square hole to put the water how quick or slow should the water be moving out of the hole. Hope this makes sense and some one can help me out. If we find that our own tests are a bit better we will get an approved person to do an official one.

    Thanks

Its not the most exciting job in the world. MP3, audiobooks and good battery on your laptop are useful while you wait and wait and wait.... water soaks so slow sometimes.

Check out the EPA guidelines, in pdf format on their website. The p-test is described in detail. It might be worth doing a test in the bottom of the 2100mm trial hole, as if soaking is good at this depth, it might help.

This info is fine for spot checks over your site, to find the best location. Your FAS qualified Tester should carry out the new test (Why hasn't He / She supplied info on test or helped with alternate location?)

    Good luck
