Am collecting it at the weekend. It was left to me over 2 yrs ago and i have to collect and im strapped for cash so i need to sell it.
Its a 5dr, it hast been started in like 10 yrs so id say theres a bit of engine work to check it over before someone starts it

    It can't be a 5 door. 1st Escort 5 door was the MkIII - c.1981

a two door would be worth big bucks....four door a good bit less.....

not worth much :oi'll give yea 500 for it:D

Anywhere near me on the Curragh?

Should be worth a bit, especially if original but depending on the extent of rust. Pics would definitely help.

hmm, if its a 2door, its worht silly to crazy money, even the 5 door is worth a bit,

but fords rust bad so a fully inspection is needed. to me shes worth upto 2k, mint around double... but tbh, i wouldnt give a shade over 1500...

plenty aroudn to choose from, im not age picky...

hardly a 5dr. The first 5 dr ford made was probably the sierra.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

first Sierra late 82.....first mk3 escort (ie 5 door) 1981ish (W reg in UK)

my money is on it being a typo for 4 door....

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Aye,that they were, and the mk2 was the same as the mk1,bar the very front, even the doors were mk1 items, wings for a mk2 estate are hard to come by!

Ask a Moderator to delete this and start a new thread of your own would be a good first move.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭mk1esc

so what escort have you got then? would be interested in it to buy if its a mk1...ive got 2 escorts (vans 1 mk1 n 1 mk2) n a mk1 fiesta.....as for value, how long is a piece of string, without viewing a car nobody can put a price on it....
