    You have to unlock them as a weapon unlock for the rifles. But yeah, they are still in the game.

    A genuine weapon, why wouldn't they be in it? I don't like getting killed by them. Quite like killing others though.......

    Because people do not use them like a proper weapon.
    They just run into groups, shoot twice and die. Respawn and repeat. They are as bad as campers.

    I thought they would only arm after a certain distance? Jesus knows how many time I've been killed because I fired too close, and it didn't go off

    I just don't like Perks. They are designed to give you an unfair advantage and to me that is the exact definition of a cheat. Back in the CoD1 & 2 days everybody could run the same distance, required the same amount of damage to die, made the same amount of noice as everybody else and that was fine by me!

    Most perks don't actually bother me much: Deep Impact, Bandolier, Frag x 3, Bomb Squad, Stopping Power, Sleight of Hand, Double Tap, Overkill, UAV Jammer, Sonic Boom... Even Gaymores and RPGs don't bother me too much.

    But Dead Silence and Juggernaut just make my blood boil! To me they're just "legal cheats" and I can't stand them...

    I'm sure whatever perks you choose will have an advantage over someone who doesn't have them, and they have perks you don't have.

    Perks 1 : UAV Jammer, Dead Silence
    Perks 2 : Steady Aim, Sleight of hand

    What would you choose, and why? They both have their advantages over the others.

    They do
    I am talking about the guys who run around till they see a group, then shoot (x2)
    they then barely bother fighting as they want to die to get 2 more grenades

    juggernaut is the only perk that ruins the game. when the hit detection is so bad in the first place, it just makes it frustrating to have to reload only to be killed with 3 hits by the person you just put a whole magazine into.

    grenade launchers and rocket launchers are in every FPS to keep the low skilled players and people who only play every once in a while happy imo.

    This is something I would pay to have.
    Realistic hit damage. So if a guys gets shot in the leg his balance goes, can not run. Hit in the arm = aim goes to crap.

    ive heard the WaW equivilent to promod is to have the sprint function removed which is supposed to make hit registration alot better..as its already terrible in WaW it seems...though to counter it they have added more run speed with the pistel out..

    all this sounds horrible with the huge maps that are in WaW but im going to wait to try it out first before i complety give up on it


    heres the complete list of changes in version 1..bear in mind its only version 1 and this mightnt even be used as the main competition mod for cod5..
    Grenade cooking has been removed
    Fog has been removed from all maps
    Recoil has been increased on all guns, similar but perhaps more than that of CoD1

    Team based weapons have been added – with a workaround due to having no menus

    Client side map scripting removed

    unfair advantage?
    that would be a cheat,
    but perks are not an unfair advantage.
    anyone can pick them(as long as theyre unlocked)
    so its quite fair.
    if you dont use them thats your choice.

    i dont use them,
    i usually use an ak with bandolier, stopping power and deep inpact,
    but i dotn consider the others a cheat,
    or unfair.

    About the Jaggernaut - is no problem when you play on standard servers but is getting anoying on HC when most of the time, you die from one shot. And the whole argument about: give up offence in sake of the deffence - goes through the window.

    Dead silence doesn't bother me at all as I'm not camping - alway on the move, that is the best way to be.

    G.L. aka n00b t00bs - every one will agree that this is no skill weapon, you just point and shoot in general direction. The best combination here is Over Kill and two guns with GL (gives you 4 granades instead of 2) or Extreme Condition + Slight of Hand.

    Don't mind GayMores - you are ok when you are not steping on them. I was very anoyed by claymores when I start playing CoD4, but I find my way around.

    Martydon is pretty anoying - mainly when you play with FF ON and some of your TP have it and he got killed.

    Last stand on it's own is not that bad, but connected with Jaggernaut is a real nightmare.

    Personaly I use G3 with red dot, flash bang, Stopping Power and Better Penetration.
    or MP5 with Double Tap and Extreme Conditions

    And someone was asking about realistic damage? Try Operation Flashpoint or Red Orchestra eventualy ArmA.

    From what I recall, the grenade launchers in WaW don't need to arm, so you can blow yourself up with them very easily. They might have changed it though, haven't played since before the beta release.
