Here are the details of our new Cash Game League which will only run for 8 weeks, so instead of 60 hours you will need to play just 40 hours to qualify.


Monday 10th November - Sunday 4th January (8 weeks).

To qualify : Play 40 hours on the Sporting Emporium Cash Game tables.

Play off Tournament : Tuesday 6th January. 9pm Start.

Chips for the Play off : 40 hours = 6,000 starting stack. Every hour over the 40 = 100 extra chips.


There will be Double hours for Monday and Wednesday nights.

Rename it from Mini Cash League to Crimbo (fund) League

Bring forward the playoff date to 16th December approx 2 weeks before Christmas,
any winnings could be used for the Santa slush fund.

Reduce the amount of hours to qualify to 35 hrs, because it’s being reduced down from the stated 8 weeks to 5.

Opt out clause (not Santa) if qualifiers exceed 140 (whatever club max is) then only top 140 qualify.

Double the rake taken for the league, making it a decent prize pool.

Now this is the part where I start to ramble a little.

Sporting Emporium donate €€€€ to the Santa Slush Fund (prize pool).

Take €90 from said donation and purchase 3 trophies 1st, 2nd and 3rd, this will guarantee the Chief qualifies, this takes care of the entertainment on the night.

Throw in a few spot prizes donated by the nice people (companies) who will get a mention in the now famous “Alex List” maybe can change this to a naughty/nice list,
I know which one I’ll be on and where the coal gets shoved…..
Above only counts if I qualify and given my track record it’s not too likely.

Maybe integrate something with the spots for bad beat on the night, first one outer for a decent pot, the dogee gets a prize and the dealer gets a matching prize (give them the incentive to give it).

Anyway just a few suggestions……
