Ebay troubles

I bought an item (a ps3 laser) off a seller on the 8th of august. I paid with my mastercard through paypal.

I recieved an item from the seller about two weeks later, a xbox 360 laser. I contacted the seller and told him what happened. He told me to return it and it would be replaced. So i sent it back. 3-4 weeks later after still not recieveing the item I got in contact with the seller asking where it was. He asked me to ring him so i did. The conversation consisted of me telling my ebay transaction number and him telling me it had been sent.

I recieved the item a week or so later and it was a ps3 laser, except it didn't read blu-ray discs only dvds (there is two diodes in the ps3 lens one for reading DVds and one for reading blu-rays) so it was obvious that the laser was broken.

Again i contacted the seller and he said it would be replaced. So so i sent it back again.

After 2-3 weeks of not hearing anything or receiving the item I emailed the seller saying that if i didnt recieve the item by teh 5th of novemeber I would want a refund. He replied asking me to ring him, I replied saying that the last phone call was pointless, nothing that was said couldn't have been conducted in an email and it was an interantional call.

So when the 5th came I emailed him asking for a refund. He replied asking me to call him. I never got a chance to reply to this. I got an email from him today :
    Dear witnessmenow,

Fraud does not pay you have been banned and blocked from all our 29 ebay shops,

    - shop-uk

I'm absolutely raging, as i've just realised the reason he sent it is because I cant even leave feedback anymore.

    I cant claim from paypal
I cant report the item as not recieved on ebay

Is there anything i can do the get my money back? Its not an awful lot (€40) but I'm working my way through final year of college so its actually alot to me! Would mastercard entertain a complaint?

    here's the item

The seller is shop-uk, I would advice avoiding them

    Thanks in advance

Contact the credit card issuer and say you want to do a chargeback for non receipt of goods. They'll tell you what you need to do, and should be able to get the refund from Paypal.

If you're feeling particularly petty, you could register a few fake eBay accounts and bid on every one of the the sellers auctions. Bid high, so you win them all. It'll cause him quite a bit of hassle to sort through all the unpaid items and get his eBay fees back. Only if you're felling petty of course.

Thanks jor el, If i wasn't so busy I would be absolutely flooding him with bids :)

    EDIT: To update this..

    received this email this evening
    Dear witnessmenow,

we have received a an item back that is not a PS3 laser part, its a laser for an old consul and not complete one just the diode without the lens, you had a PS3 item number against it, could you explain why this item was returned to us when its not a component we have supplied,

    - shop-uk

which is obviously pure an utter bull.

Anyone know where/how to contact mastercard about such things? I see nothing on there website anyways or is it something i should be doing through bank of ireland?

Contact Card Services at Bank of Ireland

Sounds like a pretty nasty spot to be in with that seller

It seems the seller intentionally delayed things, so the dispute time would expire..
    frustrating..
I'd bid on something else and leave -ve feedback.
