The coolest man I have ever seen.

A few weeks ago, I was in Dublin Airport at an ungodly hour flying out to Finland.
As I walked down the main "shopping" corridor, I saw a man coming towards me. He was like a vision from the 1930s, striding purposefully through decrepit Dublin airport, smiling and knowing how good he looked.

    He was clearly a pilot.
He wore a black over-coat, knee-length if my bleary memory is correct, possibly with gold trimming.
He had a scarf wrapped around his neck tightly.
He wore a pilot's cap, again possibly with gold trimming.

I almost stopped him to ask what airline he was with, but I didn't trust myself to speak coherently at such an early hour.

I know several of my friends have seen pilots like him in the airport before. I've been searching the net to try and find out where he was from, but no joy.
I must get one of those coats...
Does anyone know from my weak description what airline he could be with?

+1 for Etihad uniforms! Saw an air hostess in Rome wearing their uniform and she looked so stylish I did a double take :)

I was gonna write something sarcastic, but I think this will do.

What a strange post. You saw a man dressed in a pilots uniform with a scarf and were so taken aback by his dress sense you thought you'd post it here?

    I don't think it's strange.

Once in Leiciester Square at 3 a.m. I saw three marines on shore leave wearing long black capes and ornamental sowrds. They knew they looked good and all the wimmin were flocking around them.

My most swoonish moment was when i was in New York and the fire drill went off in the building we were staying in, OMG the sight of those hughe hunky firefighters (still dirty from the last fire they were saving babies from) with their axes over their shoulder :D I looked like a midget compared to them. No offence to midgets, lovely people:)

    Pretty much!
Compared to most of the pilots in their cheap polyester suits, he looked so great...
