Crap......I've been going through a phase of his books lately, reading State of fear now - brilliant book (can't say I've ever read a bad one by him!)

    RIP

Yeah but they'll accidentally freeze a tiny amount of velociraptor semen in with him and you know what happens then

Just heard, remember reading about 2 pages of jurassic park when it came out, and moving straight to Airframe, which was great. I wonder is it still as good as it was when I was 12. RIP

    My bad. Amended.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

He was the greatest enemy science ever had- his books would be turned into rubbish films which would have massive publicity departments spewing out CRAP!

    R.I.P.

Author, film producer, film director, medical doctor, television producer and video game maker. Probably a hell of a b-baller too. Bet he didn't spend much of his 66 years arsing about on AH making sarky comments.

I've never actually read any of his books and I know this is slightly OT but can someone recommend their top 5 favorite MC books? Reading some of the tributes here it looks like I've missed out on a really great author.

From what I've read, I'd recommend (in no particular order)
    Airframe
    A Case of Need
Sphere (better if you haven't seen the movie, and don't see it after)
    The Andromeda Strain
    Timeline
