World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Super Crazy as of Nov. 5, 2008. WWE wishes Super Crazy the best in all future endeavors.

    THe Wrestling Observer:
Super Crazy quit at the 11/11 show. It came out of nowhere and he said he was just unhappy with how he was being used, and that he had been promised pushes so many times that never materialized. John Laurinaitis didn’t take it that well, telling him that “Do you know how many wrestlers in Mexico want to be here.” He was telling friends that even in his position, he was happy with the money, but he was unhappy with the job. Even though he could collect for a few months on a non-compete without working, he’s willing to waive that period because he just wants to wrestle to the best of his ability, but is willing to waive the non-compete and still sign that he won’t go to TNA, since that’s not his goal either.

    Off to Mexico I guess.

I'm amazed he lasted this long. But then again the Latin fans would tune in for him. If he goes to Mexico he will just fade in with all the other workers with far more talent.

Fair play to him for quiting though rather then waiting to be released with the next batch of wrestlers to be fired.

    Best of luck to him.

I would have thought there would have been a good place in the X-Division for him but oh well.

I actually liked Super Crazy. I used to enjoy his stuff.

Its a pity he left, but at least it was by choice.

A big waste, how he as a ecw original was ignored and left on raw ill never no.Especially with how over he was @ ons 06.

Can never understand how wwe have someone like crazy and do nothing with him and sign someone like Matt Sydal and throw him into what crazy could have done, especially with the being an ECW original.

What a waste. I'm haven't been watching WWE too regularly, but when was the last time he was even used on tv, in some jobber match i'm guessing?

Last i seen of him he was wrestling on ECW in a six man tag team match. I THINK it was Him and Evan and someone, versus Miz, Morrison and someone. but i dont know.

Need to bring back cruiserweight title and give chances for guys like him to wrestle properly.

I agree with the second part of that, but not for the title. There's too many belts in the promotion as it is, and it wouldn't even be a factor in the sence that Vince limits a lot of cruiserweights skills (i refuse to use the term movesets outside of gaming terminology).

He'll no doubt wrestle with AWR in March.

Chavo is a Cruiserweight in addition he was Champion of that Division in WWE & WCW.

So you are very wrong here

Yes, he is a cruiserweight. Cruiserweight is up to 215lbs. Super Crazy is billed as 215lbs, but is no doubt probably even less than that. Nice try hotshot.

What do you mean 'ok then'? I stated that the cruiserweight title would give guys like Super Crazy a chance to wrestle for a title. You said he wasn't a cruiserweight. I just clearly pointed out that he IS a cruiserweight. Did you make some point that maybe, then rest of the entire world doesn't know about?

#1 Billed weights in WWE are generally higher than their natural weight. Super Crazy on this premise is still a cruiserweight.

#2 His billed weight is 215lbs, so judging by WWE standards - He is suitable for cruiserweight.

#3 Just incase you missed all that. Super Crazy is a cruiserweight.

Nope just a point you cant grasp seemingly

By your logic so could Big Show.

Right so when Crazy comes out to wrestle Chavo do you not think eyebrows would rasied if both were anounnced as 215lbs?

He was mentioned in the thread and he is also billed as 215lbs. Hence the comparsion.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Super Crazy as of Nov. 5, 2008. WWE wishes Super Crazy the best in all future endeavors.

It's being reported by The Wrestling Observer that Super Crazy, real name Francisco Islas, actually quit WWE last night at the Smackdown/ECW tapings. He asked for his release and it was granted today by management. Islas was said to have been very unhappy with his position in WWE and grew tired of promised pushes never being granted.

Islas' request for a release was said to have been quite a shock to Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, as there had never been any talk of quitting in the past. Johnny Ace was said to have been disappointed with Islas and told him that there are many wrestlers who would love to have his job. No word yet on Islas' future plans.

WWE could have given him IC or US title push

Moar titles? What exactly is a moar title?

Ohhh! "More" titles.. I think the cruiserweights could do with a title to allow them to have competitive matches - ala WCW. (Which btw, was probably their most exciting division) - Instead of jobbing all the time because WWE has no idea what to do with the talent.

You mean the point I stated that Super Crazy could wrestle for the cruiserweight title, followed by you stating that he wasn't a cruiserweight - when he clearly is?

    rovert wrote: »

No he couldn't. He doesn't meet the required 215lb limit. Super Crazy does.

He is clearly over the weight limit though.

No, he is clearly not over the weight limit. Super Crazy is not above 215lbs. I'm not going to repeat myself on this matter. I suggest you go develop your moar title, instead of trying to argue with me on whether Super Crazy is suitable for cruiserweight or not.

My moar titles (notice the s) line was making fun of your suggestion of adding another title unneccessarily.

The wikipedia page of his don't mean sh*t! WWE might bill him as 215 but that doesn't particularly mean he is.

WCW and WWE billed X-Pac at two different weights in a months time frame. WWE billed him intentionally slightly higher in 1998 to keep him out of the Light Heavyweight division!

Super Loco is not the same guy as he was 10 years ago and looks farrr too bulky, for his height to be 215.

    Yep

Crazy was out for a long time last year as he hurt his ankle as he was too large to the moonsaults he does.

Are you saying Super Crazy is heavier than the likes of Tito Ortiz? Let's get real. Super Crazy is not above 215lbs.

Ortiz has a lot more height on him than and a lot less of a belly.
Ortiz for the record is 205, so you're already admitting he's heavier.

Even if Super Crazy isn't above 215lbs in real life, he's definitely above it in wrestling terms. Like rovert said, Chavo is billed at 215, as is Gregory Helms. Super Crazy looks like a monster next to those guys, and even more so next to the other cruiserweights

The cruiserweight title was a real waste the last time they had it, jobbing the champion out to bigger guys a good bit and not pushing it as something important (same as practically every other title they've got now). I can't see any good reason as to why it should be brought back
