The ones that stand out for me are Groups B,C,D and H with B possibly being the tightest.

    GROUP A
    Phil Taylor (1)
    Vincent van der Voort
    Andy Jenkins
    Phill Nixon

Taylor and Van der Voort to qualify.

    GROUP B
    Andy Hamilton (8)
    Alan Tabern
    Simon Whitlock
    Brian Woods

    Hamilton and Whitlock to qualify.

    GROUP C
    Mark Webster (4)
    Mervyn King
    Michael van Gerwen
    Colin McGarry

Webster and King to qualify but unsure as van Gerwen seems to be finding bit of form.

    GROUP D
    John Part (5)
    Wayne Mardle
    Kevin McDine
    Anastasia Dobromyslova

Part and McDine to qualify. Dobromyslova to play well, possibly beating Mardle.

    GROUP E
    Raymond van Barneveld (2)
    Robert Thornton
    Gary Mawson
    Kirk Shepherd

    Barneveld and Thornton

    GROUP F
    Terry Jenkins (7)
    Colin Lloyd
    Wes Newton
    Darin Young

    Jenkins and Lloyd to qualify.

    GROUP G
    James Wade (3)
    Adrian Lewis
    Denis Ovens
    Niels de Ruiter

    Wade and Lewis to qualify.

    GROUP H
    Gary Anderson (6)
    Kevin Painter
    Darryl Fitton
    Paul Nicholson

    Anderson and Fitton to qualify.

As usual I am probably completely off the mark and most of my predictions will be wrong.

just watch n part and anastasia she should have had the first two games ,her finished let her down she is well able to throw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,182 ✭✭✭dionsiseire

Fair play to anastacia rattled part, 4-0 down to mardle and somehow managed to pull it back 4-4 with some quality darts and unfortunately she hit a 21 with 131 left when it mattered to leave herself an easy finish. she definitely COULD have won that match

The crowd were a bit scabby to mardle in the end, it cant have helped his darts when they were WHoooooooOOOOOOOOOOHHHH ing as he went to throw

    good game to watch

    Saturdays Results:
    Saturday November 15
    Afternoon Session (12pm-5pm)
    Denis Ovens 5-2 Adrian Lewis
    Andy Hamilton 5-3 Brian Woods
    Robert Thornton 5-3 Gary Mawson
    John Part 5-1 Anastasia Dobromyslova
    Phil Taylor 5-0 Phill Nixon
    Colin McGarry 5-4 Mark Webster
    Kevin Painter 2-5 Darryl Fitton
    Terry Jenkins 4-5 Darin Young

    Evening Session (6pm-11pm)
Vincent van der Voort 4-5 Andy Jenkins
    Wayne Mardle 0-5 Kevin McDine
James Wade 5-1 Niels de Ruiter
    Gary Anderson 4-5 Paul Nicholson
Raymond van Barneveld 5-1 Kirk Shepherd
    Alan Tabern 5-3 Simon Whitlock
Mervyn King 5-1 Michael van Gerwen
    Colin Lloyd 4-5 Wes Newton

Some shocks in yesterdays matches, especially Mardle getting beaten 5-0. He played some awful darts, i would have beaten him :pac: Lots of the big players lost matches that they were expected to win and that makes it very tough for them to get through. Lewis, Webster, Anderson, and Jenkins all lost so it's not looking great for any of those. I'm disappointed Webster lost because I thought he was a great outside shout for the title.

    Sundays Results:

    Afternoon Session (12pm-5pm)
    Simon Whitlock 5-0 Brian Woods
    Gary Mawson 5-0 Kirk Shepherd
Vincent van der Voort 5-1 Phill Nixon
Mark Webster 5-0 Michael van Gerwen
    Gary Anderson 5-2 Kevin Painter
    Terry Jenkins 5-3 Colin Lloyd
Adrian Lewis 5-0 Niels de Ruiter
    Wayne Mardle 5-4 Anastasia Dobromyslova

    Evening Session (7.30pm-12am)
    Mervyn King 5-3 Colin McGarry
    Andy Hamilton 5-1 Alan Tabern
    Darryl Fitton 5-2 Paul Nicholson
    Wes Newton 5-3 Darin Young
    Andy Jenkins 5-4 Phil Taylor
Raymond van Barneveld 5-3 Robert Thornton
    James Wade 5-3 Denis Ovens
    John Part 5-1 Kevin McDine

Obviously the big shock of the day was Taylor losing out to Andy Jenkins! It's the first time Jenks has beat him on TV so it was a great achievement. Taylor has to beat Van Der Voort to get through now which makes it interesting. No other real surprises, maybe the fact that Webster beat Van Gerwen so easily although MvG has been a real disappointment since moving to the PDC.

    Mondays Matches:
    Monday November 17 (5.30pm-10.30pm)
    Group A-D Final Games
    Andy Jenkins v Phill Nixon
    Alan Tabern v Brian Woods
Michael van Gerwen v Colin McGarry
    Mark Webster v Mervyn King
    John Part v Wayne Mardle
Phil Taylor v Vincent van der Voort
    Andy Hamilton v Simon Whitlock
    Kevin McDine v Anastasia Dobromyslova

Anyone know how to get ITV4 on NTL? I also have a "dodgy" box but I don't know how to get ITV4 on it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 845 ✭✭✭nhughes100

Is it me or is Anastasia getting hotter every time she's on the box? Hope she beats mcDine tonight, hormones aside, she deserves to be the first woman to beat a man in a televised darts match.

I could help you out with tuning ITV4 on sky digital but don't know about NTL. Here's the sticky from boards,

Are Barney and Taylor on opposite sites of the draw then?

I'm supposing Taylor will dispose of Hamilton quickly enough tonight...

The 9 dart throw off was very strange. i never knew about that rule before.

I still have a sneaky feeling that Webster will do very well in this tournament. I think his match against Part could be the game of the round. James Wade against Gary Anderson is another cracking match!

I have hardly seen any of the darts this week. What was he doing?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

He is now the man they love to hate. It started before his match against Gary Anderson with his walk on wearing them shades, the fans started singing who are you. Then he got a 180, put his finger to his mouth and then he pointed at the crowd seeming to tell them to shut up. He was also doing this while Anderson was throwing and it has esculated since.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Carrickman

    Simon Whitlock 10-8 Andy Jenkins
    John Part 2-10 Mark Webster
Two good results for the BDO corner!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

    Two Great matches tonight;
    Phil Taylor 10 - Andy Hamilton 8
Thought Taylor would destroy Hamilton after the first leg but what a great fighting display by The Hammer
    Mervyn King 10 - Kevin McDine 9
Best match so far, McDine should have won

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,326 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Sounds like some great matches last night, I missed them because I was in watching that shower of sh1te in Croke Park. I thought Webster would have a good tournament but I didn't expect him to beat Part so easily! That really is some scoreline but it looks as if Part was well off form. great win for Whitlock too, he has shown that he is a very good player and I would love to see him on the PDC circuit.

Surprised Hamilton managed to make his game against Taylor so close, he actually finished with the better average but some missed doubles let him down. Fair play to him for pushing Taylor all the way.

You have to hand it to Mervyn King for one hell of a come back, especially since he was at his aunts funeral earlier in the day. Supposedly he broke down in tears after the game. He plays Webster in the next round which should be an absolute cracker!

    Tonights Second Round Matches:
Darryl Fitton v Denis Ovens (Match 8)
Terry Jenkins v Robert Thornton (Match 6)
James Wade v Gary Anderson (Match 7)
Raymond van Barneveld v Darin Young (Match 5)

Wade against Anderson the match of the night!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

What a match between Anderson and Wade. two 11 darters by Anderson and a Nine darter from Wade to lead 7-5. Too many missed doubles to make this a classic but never the less great to watch, shame Wade fell apart after that magic moment to lose 10-8.

Delighted Jenkins got through against Thornton.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 517 ✭✭✭greatgoal

yeah wade went downhill after the nine darter but fair play to anderson,it seemed to inspire him, also nice to see terry jenkins playing well again, well deserved win.

BDO boys doing pretty good this year. Don't know about Wade for the worlds yet. Although he threw pretty bad for a pro last night and even admitted after the game that he only threw 9 good darts - still won 8 legs all the same and finishing cost him the match.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,326 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Brilliant darts, but you have to hand it to Anderson to be able to get himself together and come back to win the match. Wade would have been buzzing and maybe it got to his head a little bit and he will be the first to admit that hitting a nine darter but losing the match is not good enough. Great game though.

Jenkins did very well to come back against Thornton and he looks as if he is back to his usual self. Fitton put in a good show and it will be battle of the BDO stars as he plays Anderson in the next round. Barney was just too good for Young.

I'm sticking with Webster for the title!

Fitton, Whitlock, Anderson and Webster should all be PDC regulars

Jenkins has been in top form all week and hopefully he can puch Taylor all the way tonight, would love to see him win the title! I am well annoyed I didn't get to see the Semi-Finals last night because it sound slike both matches were excellent, especially Jenkins and Anderson which was a fantastic standard.

Yeah he should be ahead, some terrible double shots by Jenkins. he has to forget about it now though, if it plays on his mind taylor will run away. His scoring is better than Taylors so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 517 ✭✭✭greatgoal

bad leg for jenkins again, really needs to start playin better or be severely punished.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 517 ✭✭✭greatgoal

taylor is awesome on the treble 19 cover shot.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,326 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Yeah Taylor is just as good on the 19's as he is on the 20's.

Two legs in a row there for Jenkins, he finally won a leg on his throw. back to 10-5 but he is still a long way behind. Needs to put in some fantastic legs to pressurise Taylor and hope for the best. Can't see him doing it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 517 ✭✭✭greatgoal

dont know, his confidence is growing 10-7.

That was the most important leg of the match, two darts missed by Jenks and he is affected by it. Needs to pick it up again
