I'm off for reading week this week, but I suppose that'd be too short notice. Thursday worked well enough last time didn't it?

Friday the 14th is most likely out for me, and if I EVER get around to doing stuff with the VDP it'll be Thursdays, but I'd be able to get there afterwards at 9ish maybe.

What could a mod possibly have that's more important than a Boards Beers?

Hm.. did you go along to the "sign up for volunteering!" evening? I signed up for a couple of things and they haven't stopped emailing me about it...

What evening? Nah I didn't. I'm not located in campus, the CDS is off campus so didn't hear anything, I left my email with them when I joined during Freshers. :( Must email them when I get my new email address.

    Sarchasm

The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

If Thursday it be, ye'll have to put me down as a possibly maybe, but probably not, and if so, definitely late. If Friday be the choice, strap yerselves in and feel the G's.

Don't try to blame your poor delivery on me.

I'm good for either date, and may actually stay at the beers longer than 45 minutes this time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,699 ✭✭✭Brian

Ah we'll have to rearrange it for some less convenient time then.

I'll save you the trouble of going all that distance and just stab you in the Pav.

Well, if not Doyle's then Palace.

    I loath the Palace.

And also I'm pretty sure that not everyone going will be 20 or older.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

And the palace is a hole, a horrible hole, where you queue for a half hour to get in and its empty inside. The music is so loud that you can't hear anything and its just a horrible horrible hole which people only go to in order to score.

    But... I like Doyles...

The Palace rules. Young people have not taste these days.

My MSc class is graduating on Friday so not sure what the plan is. Might do half and half

I go for the hour of old school dance mucic but stay for the company

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

No old school dance music when I was there. And the company looked like it should be down on the docks meeting the sailors as they arrived into port.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭mathew

    :-( maybe next time

Should go on a Saturday night.

The Palace hasn’t changed much in 8 years (except that upstairs is now closed).

If only I had not drunk so much I'm sure I'd have some cool memories

I'm getting free drink to celebrate living on campus, or something like that on Friday so I'll be along after 9pm.

People who get there earlier than that, try and yoink a table.
