Any idea how much it would cost to have a roof window installed if i provide the Skylight? How much would a roofer/installer charge?

Im considering cleaning up the attic at home and having one installed, but i dont want to start until i have a budget made out.

I'm not a roofer but expect €100 - €200 plus vat. Depending on your location.
It really depends on the roof finish - wheather its slate or tiles. Concrete tiles are easier to install, as they can be taken in from the attic.

Slate is a little more difficult. Shouldn't take more than 4 or 6 hours.
Get 3 quotes from reputable Roofers - based on reputation or recommendation. Rooflights range from €200 upwards.

IMO the bigger the better, when it comes to rooflights.

It might be worth pointing out that this kind of work might require planning permission so it might be worth checking it out if you haven't already

Really? For a Sky light? God i didnt think it would be that big of an issue. I wouldnt even know where to start. Is it a roofer that puts in Sky Lights? Or are there people who exclusively deal with installing Skylights. Would they advise me on the planning permisssion side of things?

Generally speaking velux rooflights will only require permission if put on the front or sides (hipped roof). If they are to be located in the rear of the roof then anything up to 3 will be OK.
