Cheers for the info pa990, beats trying to keep up or sift through a 24-page thread that last time I looked at, was frequently going off-topic.

I would not agree with you that the "freesat in Ireland" thread is off-topic. This was mentioned to the mods abouts two weeks ago and a good two pages of irrelevance was removed with a mod message to remain on topic only.

So maybe you should follow "TheDriver" advice and bother to read before you post.

Wasting a min of time is not the point, its simply bad form to open up a thread when an existing one dealing with the topic already exists. What if we had numerous duplicate threads would that still also take a min?

This is the sat forum, you might be better posting this interesting info in a more appropriate forum.

.. being a mod and all.. i'd thought that you would have known better..

he never said that he found it on satellite, i presumed that he found a radio station on a radio, just like any reasonably minded person would.

At least i specified where i had found the sat4free system.

And how long did it take for a mod to come along and clean things up? It was going off topic when I last looked at it; I tend to avoid looking at threads when they've gone to sh!t.

At least this thread was informative in that it tells us that the system is available in Tesco. I wasn't aware of that. Maybe it's mentioned in the uber-super thread you refer to. Do you expect me to sift through 20 pages of often meandering rubbish to find some information that I wouldn't be aware of?

When I posted here, I was thanking the OP for bringing it to my attention, as it's something I am interested in and was unaware of. What did you bring to the thread? Your post was nothing other than to try to insult me.

While it's bad "netiquette" to open threads on an existing subject, I also think it's poor form for everyone else to post stuff that contributes nothing to the topic, other than postcount+1.
