The 2nd Annual BGRH Awards - The Bellies 2008 Nominations Thread

Ladies, Gentlemen and Igors, it's that time of the year again when we must consider those who have made the greatest contribution to this fine forum. The Bellies are among the most prestigious awards on Boards (the others which will spring to mind any week now), and honour those Brothers and Brotherettes whose actions and posts have gone above and beyond the call of duty in promoting the BGRH lifestyle. Before I go any further, may I remind you of last year's winners:

Mod of the Year - Brother Tom Dunne

Thread of the Year - Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bar is Now Open

Non-BGRH Poster of the Year - Honorary Brother Terry


The standard last year was exceptionally high, but I have no reason to doubt that this year will be any different. The winners in each category win the coveted Belly statuette:




This year, in addition to the above categories, there will be at least one extra award - The Lunchtime Achievement Award. This award will not be voted upon like the other categories, but instead will be awarded to the person who, in the eyes of the judging panel, has made a contribution to BGRH so great that they shall be deemed worth of induction into the great pantheon that is The BGRH Hall of Fame. This award will be announced at the same time as all the other winners.

So, to start things rolling, we need some nominations. Each voter may nominate one person/thread only in each category, and they will only be accepted if made in this thread. If more than one nomination is made in a category, neither will count. Once all the nominations have been made I'll put up polls for people to vote for the most popular nominees in each category.

The award categories are below, however if you feel there's an additional category that deserves an award, please feel free to include it. The merits of these additional categories will be assessed by the judging panel prior to the voting polls being posted.

I think we should also have a Newcomer of the year award since we have had so many n00bs in BGRH.

For that award, I nominate none other than, (drumroll) Trowelled. Um, I think it was the She Ra costume that convinced me.
