Nunchuck?

Santa Claus is getting my daughter a Wii for Xmas (very generous of him, doesn't get enough credit that guy ;)) and I was wondering what extra accessories are required? I will probably get an extra Wiimote but do I need an extra nunchuck? Wii Sports and Super Mario Galaxy will be the only games for now, might pick up Mario Kart at some stage.

Can you use standard rechargeable AA batteries in the Wiimote?

Out of your 2 games, the only thing you will need a spare nunchuk for is 2 player Boxing in Wii Sports.

The other Wii Sports games use the Wiimote only, and the for 2 player games in Mario Galaxy, the second player just uses the Wiimote.

Extra nunchuk is only €20 (maybe cheaper online) so its no harm getting it.

Standard or rechargable AA batteries are fine. I recommend rechargables!

Ye can't go wrong with a couple of rechargeable battery packs, and charging stand. Something akin to this should do the trick.

We usually just have two sets of rechargeable batteries, its really handy, You dont really need the charging stand, just some decent batteries!
The extra nunchuck isnt really needed at all, your kid would be happy with the Wii by itself!
