    Hello

I've been reading a few articles on things like Aspartmane and other sweetners. It seems there is some concern they may have long term health risks.

Have any of you researched this area before?

    Cheers

It tends to be rather sensationalist, unproven concern unfortunately. Here's another thread on the same topic.

TBH, it seem's that every few months something else gives you cancer, apart from smoking I've given up caring at this stage; the risk compared to the hassle just seems so small.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying yeah, do be as unhealthy as you like, jsut don't get over concerned.

I did some research before. I think the benefit outweighs the (negligable IMO) risk.

Attention please, the following things cause cancer:

    Milk
    McChicken Sandwich
    Microwave Ovens
    Vitamin C
    Not enough Vitamin C
    Real Sugar
    Fake sugar
    Tea
    Not enough Tea

    and.......

    best of all.....

    EXERCISE!

LOL @ that list. Nearly everything you eat these days wil have a form of sweetener, if not artificial, natural - you can't get away from that fact. The amount of protein supps you'll consume compared will be in the ha'penny place. You've probably ate more aspartame as a child than you'll ever consume from a supplements.

I personally found the Supplement factory protein too Sweet, So I bought a heap of plain whey from Bulk powders which is totally unsweetened which TBH makes it a bit harder to get down for me , so I suppose ya cant win.

Well, it's the fact that I will be consuming quite a bit of it every day. However I have a fairly clean diet (I don't eat any other sweetened products) so I would agree the risk is probably minimal. But still, I'd rather know for certain that x amount of sweetener every day for 10 years is safe. You know? :)

    Mix em???

It's something I considered. I've both sitting around at home, must try it.

The BP whey mixed with milk is quite easy to drink.
