the poolpeg on the pigeon house road ( along side the east link ) does the best pint of guiness in dublin, though i dont drink guiness myself... or do pubs in general, pints are 4 quid, no hassle in their at all ( first sign of trouble, your out on your ear ) and the staff are nice...


oh and theirs a pool table...


cheaper then most any other pub ive noticed in dublin... most being a fiver or over ( barely over but still ! )

€3.50 on Thursday methinks.

They did this in the Mad Hatter in Blackrock a few years ago, first Thursday of every month I think.

Didn't last long before they stopped it. Not sure if there was a legality angle, but loads of criticism from all sides. Bizarre it's not mentioned in this article - but taht would be expecting in-depth journalism from the Herald.
